Congratulations on your engagement! It’s really exciting (and potentially a bit overwhelming) to start planning your dream wedding!

While there’s a lot to think about during your wedding planning, getting your dream wedding photographer should be one of your top priorities.

You Only Have One Wedding Day

Your dream day is going to be just that. A day. Your photos from your wedding day are irreplaceable and can’t be replicated. In saying that, it’s going to be a day you’ll want to relive time and again. Invest heavily in those things that make it timeless – mainly your wedding photos and wedding video.

Your Photos Are Lasting

You may be able to freeze your cake, preserve your flowers and dry-clean your dress, but your photos will be the lasting part of your wedding day.

Think about how much they will mean to you in future. The photos of you seeing each other at the top of the aisle, that photo of you and your mum, or the capture of a precious moment spent with your granny. How valuable will these be in the years to come?

Expert advice

If you’ve never been married before, you’re going to be coming into the world of wedding planning not knowing what to expect! It can be a bit mad and daunting!

Your wedding suppliers will be able to give you some advice for what to do on the day (they’ll have done this a lot more than you!). Your wedding photographer will be able to advise you on possible ceremony times, point out great locations for photos, and recommend some other awesome suppliers they’ve worked with on previous weddings.

I want you to have the best possible wedding day, while also enjoying relatively stress-free planning! I’ll be an email away if you need any advice, or if you’re struggling to find a certain supplier. You’re investing in my experience and expertise as well as my super-awesome camera talents!

A New Best Friend!

Your wedding photographer is going to be by your side all day. No joke – that could mean having a relative stranger with you for 12 hours while sharing some of the most intimate moments on the most important day of your life. During past weddings I’ve helped brides into their dresses, found lost items of jewellery, brought marriage registrars to church (you know, the one thing you need to be legally married!) – that level of intimacy requires a good relationship!

A recipe for getting your dream photographer is loving their work and loving them! When you enquire with me, I’ll always recommend getting a coffee together or having a chat on the phone so we can get to know one another and chat through all your wedding plans!

If you like my work, I’d love to hear about all your amazing wedding plans – get in touch and we can arrange a coffee to chat all about it!
